STANTON
The City Council has presented certificates of appreciation to nine residents and business owners who served on the redevelopment advisory committee.
Committee members helped the city’s staff put together a plan to make most of the city a redevelopment zone.
The designation was approved by the council in July. That means any increases in property taxes will now go toward residential and commercial rehabilitation.
