Quarterly Sales Double at Biolase Technology

Biolase Technology Inc. said that first-quarter sales more than doubled to $3.08 million and that it expects strong sales the rest of the year despite a global economic slowdown.

Shares of the San Clemente maker of lasers and other products closed Thursday at $2.34, off 3 cents, in Nasdaq trading.
