What ‘CBS’ Stands For

Share

While I was dismayed to read that CBS has pulled “Big Apple” from its schedule (Morning Report, March 31), I was not surprised to see reported in the same column that the same network is hosting open auditions for “Survivor III.”

What has TV programming sunk to? Not only was “Big Apple” the most innovative and interesting show to appear on non-cable television in years, but it was also the first show my husband and I regularly watched on CBS since the demise of “Northern Exposure” in the mid-1990s.

Obviously the network’s call letters can only stand for three things: Crass, Boring and now Stupid.
