Hostages in China
* At what point will the U.S. government start using the correct term (hostages) for the situation with China? So far, the U.S. spy plane crew has only been “detained” against their will and all standards of international protocol. Maybe after a few more weeks, the administration will call it what it truly is. Until then, expect President Bush to downplay the incident as best as he can while he attends to other matters of state. The Chinese won’t mind. They’ve got nothing but time on their hands.
