U.S. Robotics Names Vishny Vice President

Michael Vishny has been named vice president and chief human resources officer for U.S. Robotics, based in the Irvine office. He was formerly vice president of human resources for Gateway Inc. Vishny also has been with S.C. Johnson Wax, Dun & Bradstreet/A.C. Nielsen Co. and Motorola Inc. Ronald Crocco has been selected to head the company’s new Emerging Business Unit in Irvine. Before joining the company, he was vice president and partner of Levin Consulting and held executive sales and marketing positions with Toshiba America Inc., Compaq Computer Corp. and Epson America.

* Mark J. Keough has joined the legal staff of Don D. Sessions PLC in Mission Viejo, an employee-rights law firm. He was formerly director of human resources for Boeing Military Aircraft, Southern California.

* Ronald Eugene Owen has been added to the family law group of JAMS in Irvine, one of the nation’s largest arbitration- and mediation-services companies. He was formerly an Orange County Superior Court judge.

* Nancy L. Koprowski has joined Maples Communications Inc. in Irvine as account manager. She was previously an account executive at Hilary Kaye Associates and an account representative for Freeman/McCue Public Relations & Marketing Communications.

* Robert Parker has been appointed senior vice president, creative director of broadcast production at Y&R; Irvine advertising agency. He will oversee all broadcast production for the Irvine and Detroit offices. His career as a producer includes recent campaigns for Cisco Systems, JP Morgan, Microsoft, Universal Studios and Absolut.
