* Museum--The Santa Barbara Museum of Art will open “From the Sun King to the Royal Twilight: 18th Century French Paintings” on Tuesday. A selection of about 80 works from the collection of the Musee de Picardie, Amiens, the exhibit offers an overview of French painting from the end of the reign of Louis XIV to the fall of the French monarchy in the mid-19th century. Through June 17. * Classical Theater--The New York-based Acting Company will stage a revival of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 1970s musical version of “The Comedy of Errors” on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at UC Santa Barbara’s Campbell Hall. $13-$25.
