Coach Mike Dunleavy held a film session for his Trail Blazers, then gave them the day off.

“Our starters played big minutes,” he said. “A day off would be better after watching film, talking about the game, getting our minds ready for a good hard practice tomorrow.”

The Trail Blazers can live with the 52 points they allowed to Shaquille O’Neal and Bryant, who average a combined 59.

It’s the 35 scored by the unheralded tandem of Fisher (21) and Horace Grant (14), the Trail Blazers would like to whittle down.

“Horace getting off to the start he got off to, that hurt us,” Dunleavy said. “He’s going to get the offensive board. He’s going to make some plays. But we were involved in some rotations where guys who should have boxed him out didn’t box him out.”
