The Chicago Architecture Foundation, which operates more than 70 tours of the city’s buildings and other landmarks, has added an interpretive center to its Loop visitors facility.
The center, which is at the Santa Fe Building, 224 S. Michigan Ave. across from the Art Institute of Chicago, includes a tour desk, an updated scale model of the city, an illustrated timeline of city architecture dating to 1837 and a searchable database with information on and photos of skyscrapers. The foundation continues to operate a satellite visitors center at the John Hancock Building, 875 N. Michigan Ave. Tel. (312) 922-3432, https://www.architecture.org.
