Re “Crime Rises 21% in Public Housing Projects as Police Patrols Decline,” Aug. 7: Perhaps if City Council President Alex Padilla talked to public housing residents and asked them not to throw rocks and bottles at officers making felony arrests, then the officers would do a better job of controlling crime there.
