Career, Motherhood Are Tough Paths to Walk

Share

I’m wondering whatever happened to the adage “refrain from judging a woman until you’ve walked a mile in her moccasins” (Sandy Banks, “Alimony and Acrimony: Dispute Pushes a Hot Button,” July 31).

Reading the harsh judgments hurled by women at women in this column really hurt.

I’ve been a single working mother and a “dependent” wife, and neither one is, to quote another cliche, “a piece of cake.”
