* Shareholders and directors of Dense-Pac Microsystems, a Garden Grove packager of computer memory chips, have approved a name change to DPAC Technologies Corp., the company said Wednesday.

* Eric C. Nielsen and Edward R. Muller have joined the board of the Keith Companies Inc. in Costa Mesa, increasing the number of directors to seven. Nielsen is president of the Keith Companies. Muller was president and chief executive of Edison Mission Energy from 1993 to 2000.

* Bridge Technology Inc., a Garden Grove manufacturer of digital recording, storage and communication components, reported a second-quarter net loss of $1.3 million, or 12 cents a share, contrasted with profit of $601,368, or 5 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue increased 36% to $34.6 million.

* Cardiac Science Inc., an Irvine maker of defibrillators, said its net loss for the second quarter totaled $7.1 million, or 29 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $2.8 million, or 23 cents a share, a year ago.
