Cal Lutheran Receives Construction Grant

Cal Lutheran University has received a $750,000 grant from the Los Angeles-based Weingart Foundation to help with construction of its School of Education and multimedia facility.
Groundbreaking for the $6-million Spies-Bornemann Center for Education and Technology took place in April. The 20,000-square-foot center is expected to be completed by fall 2002.
The foundation funds a variety of organizations throughout Southern California, including homeless shelters, health-care facilities and independent colleges.
