Update--This is the third time the Comets have lost the first game of a WNBA playoff series. The two previous times they came back to win, but this will be the first time they have to do it on the road. Sacramento’s elimination of Utah Sunday gave Los Angeles even more incentive to close out the series tonight. The Sparks don’t want to give the Monarchs an advantage in rest. Sacramento will either host the Sparks, or travel to Houston, for Friday’s Western Conference finals opener. Spark guard Tamecka Dixon’s four thefts in Saturday’s victory set a playoff record for steals by a Comets’ opponent.
