Displaying a Nose for Shallowness

Share

I hope the rest of the world didn’t see the California cliche of pop criticism on a body part in “The Flaw That Punctuates Perfection” (Nov. 30).

It wasn’t tongue in cheek, it wasn’t humorous. The description of Owen Wilson’s nose as “beyond broken ... a bulbous, dented twisted lump” is embarrassing.

Hey, New York, look what L.A. does and feel free to use it in your monologues of the stereotypical L.A. shallow story. His nose looks just right to most of the world. You are sentenced to 24 hours of watching “Shallow Hal.”
