Giving Letters That Personal Touch

Share

If you want to show that you care, write your holiday letter on beautiful stationery in legible handwriting, using a good pen. No leaky ballpoints!

Limit recipients to close family and friends. Your accountant and lawyer? Not unless they’re your tight buddies.

If you’ve got a big crowd to write to, type the letter in a decently sized font, keep it to one page and run off photocopies. To each letter, attach a short, handwritten note with a personalized message.

Update your recipient list for changes in marital status, etc.

If your holiday letter is an annual event and after a while some people don’t respond, drop them from your list. It’s likely they’ll be happy you did.
