Orange County Transportation Authority’s chief executive got a 10% pay raise Monday. The agency’s board increased Arthur T. Leahy’s annual salary to $170,500 from $155,000, effective Jan. 1.
“Though he did not get perfect marks, we believe he is doing an outstanding job and has an aggressive agenda,” said county Supervisor Todd Spitzer about the salary-review process. Spitzer is vice chairman of the OCTA board.
Leahy, a former Minneapolis transit director, was hired a year ago. OCTA officials say he has improved bus service and revived the CenterLine rail project.
