Aerospace Sales Forecast to Fall

U.S. aerospace sales are projected to drop by $6.6billion next year from this year’s near record $151billion, the industry’s trade group said.
The Aerospace Industries Assn. said the effects of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks would hit the industry hard as companies adjust to a shrinking civil aviation market.
The industry posted near-record profits of an estimated $8.7billion in 2001, up from $7.3billion in 2000.
