Cookies Parisienne

Paris Pastry in Westwood is jammed with seasonal goodies, including traditional log cakes with chocolate-raspberry truffle, chestnut and Grand Marnier fillings; gingerbread houses large and small; and, of course, cookies. Along with individually wrapped frosted cookies in Christmas shapes, there are cookie trays tied with green ribbons and green boxes with tree-shaped windows on top so you can see the assortment inside.

The cookie trays should keep any cookie lover happy because of the variety. There are rows of apricot-filled cutout cookies, cocoa-colored cookie slices, Florentines filled with chocolate, chocolate-dipped cookies with apricot filling, lemon-filled plain cookies and crunchy chocolate cookies layered with melted chocolate. Decorated cookies on top set the theme, along with colored balls of marzipan that look like Christmas ornaments.
