Orthodontist to Lead County Colleges Board
Thousand Oaks orthodontist Norman Nagel has been elected president of the Ventura County Community College District Board of Trustees, officials said.
Nagel, who was board president in 1999, succeeds trustee Bob Gonzales. Nagel, 59, is serving his second four-year term on the five-person board.
Trustees also elected Art Hernandez vice president. Hernandez succeeds Nagel in that position.
Nagel and Hernandez were unanimously chosen last week, with trustee John Tallman absent.
The new president and vice president will each serve a one-year term.
