Grateful in America
This is the season dedicated to being grateful, so I would like to give a warm thank you for the support we in the Muslim community have received from everyone from all backgrounds and faiths. Specifically, I would like to thank the pope and the Catholic community for fasting with us on the first and the last days of Ramadan. It was a nice gesture of goodwill and solidarity. I would also like to acknowledge the media for making an effort to educate the public about Islam. This is an especially difficult time for Muslims in America. The outpouring of support and understanding shown by the general community is much needed and appreciated.
