From Times Staff Reports

A nonprofit group that provides services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault is seeking volunteers.

The Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence will hold its 72-hour training session between Jan. 23 and March 6. Volunteers will meet three days a week at the coalition’s Oxnard office.

Volunteers who take the session will learn to be crisis intervention counselors who can work at the coalition’s battered women’s shelter, answer calls to the crisis hotline and respond to emergencies in the field.
