Bergen Brunswig Corp., the third-biggest U.S. drug wholesaler, said Wednesday that it signed a five-year contract valued at $400 million with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services Inc. for pharmaceuticals and other services.
Bergen, based in Orange, said in a press release that it will supply drugs to hospital, psychiatric and correctional facilities that are customers of Comprehensive Pharmacy, a closely held provider of pharmacy services based in Memphis, Tenn.
The deal follows one announced Tuesday in which Bergen will sell generic drugs to Costco Wholesale Corp. under a four-year contract valued at $220 million.
Bergen’s stock price lost 65 cents to close at $18.20 a share on the New York Stock Exchange.
