Greenspan on Energy
* Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan could hardly have been more illogical: On the one hand he asserts that the energy crisis must be dealt with promptly (Jan. 26). On the other hand, he would give to individual taxpayers a cut that would exhaust $1.6 trillion of the budget surplus. The surplus could be, and should be, used to build sources that generate energy, especially renewable sources. Building could begin immediately!
