Couple in Adoption Fight Served U.S. Writ
From Times Wire Reports
The British couple involved in a trans-Atlantic fight over twin girls adopted via the Internet have been served with papers in Chicago ordering them to appear in U.S. court, their rivals’ attorney said.
A lawyer for Richard and Vickie Allen of California served the court papers to Alan and Judith Kilshaw of Wales after their Thursday appearance on a TV talk show.
The Allens said they had paid $6,000 to adopt the infants, now 6 months old, whose birth mother later handed them to the Kilshaws.
