Alaska Oil Drilling
How shortsighted are President Bush and his Interior secretary, Gale Norton? They want to destroy a protected habitat for one year’s worth of oil. In one year we will be forced to come up with a long-term solution. Why don’t we do it now and spare the pristine Alaskan wildlife refuge? Once we go in there to extract the oil, we will be doing irreparable damage. How can the American public not see that Bush just wants to take care of his oil-drilling buddies?
