* The proposal by Mexican President Vicente Fox and five U.S. senators to give illegal aliens from Mexico the right to work here would be a disaster (“L.A. Gets New Mexican Envoy,” Feb. 2). This guest-worker program will lead to another amnesty. These guests are never going to leave, and why should they? Such an amnesty would include around 15 million Mexicans, when family reunification and births are figured in.
If the U.S. is to survive as a sovereign nation, dual citizenship, open borders, amnesties for illegal aliens and guest-worker schemes must be stopped now. Otherwise, the breakup of our country is inevitable.
