Congressional and state legislative representatives from southeast Los Angeles County will head a daylong seminar Friday, beginning at 8:30 a.m., exploring ways to ease traffic congestion and improve transportation infrastructure in the region. Improving education and work force preparedness also will be discussed at the conference sponsored by the Gateway Cities Partnership, an alliance of business, labor, education and public-sector officials from 27 cities in the county’s manufacturing and industrial hub.
