Irvine Investors Sell Portion of Apria Holdings

Investment funds affiliated with Cooper & LeVasseur LLC in Irvine cut their stake in Costa Mesa home-care company Apria Healthcare Group Inc. to 4.6% of the shares from 5.5%.

In its most recent transactions, the investment group sold a total of 558,090 common shares between Jan. 16 and Feb. 2, according to a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The group now holds 2.46 million shares.

When the reported sales took place, Apria shares traded as high as $28 and as low as $21.13. The investors paid $7.34 to $7.95 a share for a small part of their stake in March 1999.

Apria’s stock lost 34 cents Tuesday to close at $27.86 on the New York Stock Exchange.
