From Times Wire Reports

Bestselling horror novelist Stephen King, recovering from an accident nearly two years ago, is suing his insurance company over a $10-million policy covering medical bills and lost income, his lawyer said.

King and his wife, Tabitha, alleged that the Commercial Union York Insurance Co. improperly paid them after the writer’s right side was crushed by a van while he was walking along a Maine road on June 19, 1999. The Kings believe they should get the full $10 million but have not received that amount.

The insurance company could not be reached for comment.

Warren Silver, his lawyer, estimated that medical bills, future surgeries and lost writing income could add up to $75 million.
