Warner Production Chief Signs Deal

* AOL Time Warner Inc. said Lorenzo di Bonaventura, president of worldwide production at Warner Bros., signed a long-term contract with the movie studio. Di Bonaventura, 44, has been with the studio for 11 years. He is in charge of all aspects of development, acquisition and production of feature films for Warner Bros. Pictures. He also will be responsible for agreements with independent production companies. (Bloomberg News)

Chris Curtin has been named vice president, corporate synergy, and special assistant to the chairman for Walt Disney Co. In his new role, Curtin, a director of government relations, will be responsible for a range of cross-promotional and marketing activities related to major events and initiatives that leverage the full strength of Disney’s entertainment and media businesses. He will be based in Disney’s headquarters in Burbank and will report to Chairman and Chief Executive Michael Eisner.

Bertelsmann’s BMG music division named Jack Rovner president of its RCA Records label, home to such acts as David Gray and Christina Aguilera. Rovner had been general manager at RCA since 1995, and his promotion had been expected since last month when label chief Bob Jamieson was named chief executive of BMG’s North American operations as part of a corporate reorganization.
