Raining Data Corp.

The Irvine company, formerly known as Omnis Technology Corp., reported a third-quarter net loss of $3 million, or 27 cents a share, compared with profit of $431,000, or 4 cents a share, a year ago. The company attributed the loss to merger expenses. Raining Data was created as a result of the December merger of Omnis Technology Corp. and Pick Systems. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was up 22% to $2.8 million.
