Teacher Accreditation

* Lorraine Knopf (letter, Feb. 12) makes mention that private school teachers are not required to have the same training or accreditation as public school teachers. As a parent sending three children to parochial school, my response is, “Thank goodness they don’t.” Because then the school my children attend would be just as bad--if not worse--than public schools. As for the Stanford 9 test that public schools made such a big deal about last year, my children have been taking that test for years.
