Guitar Center Nets $10 Million for Quarter

Guitar Center Inc. of Agoura Hills reported net income for the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31 of $10 million, compared with $14.5 million for the same period the previous year. Sales rose to $240.3 million from $192.9 million.

For the year, net income rose to $22.5 million from $18.3 million. Sales increased to $785.7 million from $620 million.
