California Bank & Trust Promotes Branch Leaders

* California Bank & Trust, a business bank owned by Zions Corp. with 75 offices, has promoted Gardena office branch manager Michael Duran to senior vice president. The company also promoted Marie Tran, a personal banking sales leader, to vice president and branch manager of its Arcadia office.

* EUniverse, an interactive entertainment network based in Los Angeles, has appointed Joe Varraveto executive vice president and chief financial officer. Varraveto, who was vice president of finance at PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay international snack food unit for six years, will be responsible for finance, treasury, human resources and investor relations.

* Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. has named three additional officers, effective immediately. Kevin Dempsey, a co-founder and former president of Valusteel Inc., becomes chief information officer, a new position; Donna Newton, an employee benefits director, is vice president for human resources; and attorney Kay Rustand joins the company as vice president and general counsel.
