‘Temptation’ PR

The subheadline on the article “Risk Management” (by Greg Braxton and Brian Lowry, Jan. 12) asks the question, “Could the networks better avoid these reefs [embarrassing revelations about contestants on shows like “Temptation Island”]--or is it a case of any PR is good PR?”

Well, I don’t know about the networks, but given that the article takes up half the front page of the Calendar section, including a massive color photo of an attractive young couple lying on a boat in the sun, I’d have to say PR for the show is a temptation The Times can’t resist.
