Advice to Chargers: Don’t Pick Vick

It would be surprising if the San Diego Chargers used their first pick to take Virginia Tech’s Michael Vick. This “quarterback of the future” thing has not panned out. The path to the Super Bowl is with a drop-back passer who can go through the options and deliver the ball quickly with accuracy, as Kurt Warner has proved.

Michael Vick is a Kordell Stewart at best. Trying to make a running quarterback into a Kurt Warner is like trying to make a fast-food cook a gourmet.
