Residents interested in the stock market can now visit the new investment center at the H.P. Wright Library on Day Road, where they can read various financial publications and check out books on investing and online trading.
The center, which also has an Internet-connected computer, opened in response to popular demand, said Mary Lynch, city librarian.
Other branches of the Ventura County Library have investment centers, but patrons of Wright library--which has the third-largest circulation in the system--have been asking for the materials, she said.
The books were paid for by the Janet Lundy Trust. The periodical subscriptions were paid for from other funds, Lynch said.
The other branches with investment centers are E.P. Foster Library in Ventura, Camarillo Library, Ojai Library and Simi Valley Library.
