* NetSol International Inc., Calabasas, announced that Najeeb Ghauri, formerly president of NetSol International, has been named chief executive. Former CEO Salim Ghauri assumes the job of president.

Najeeb Ghauri will oversee parent company NetSol International, which has several subsidiaries. Salim Ghauri will supervise NetSol’s core business of software development in Pakistan. In addition, Amer Saleem has been promoted to chief executive of NetSol Connect, a subsidiary of NetSol International. Saleem will be responsible for the aggressive growth of business in Pakistan.

NetSol International develops software for the information technology industry.

* Gus Moser has joined Extraordinary Events of Sherman Oaks as vice president of the Western region. He will head the Las Vegas office.

Extraordinary Events plans and executes corporate product introductions, galas and other functions worldwide.

* Anne Gates has been promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer at Disney Consumer Products, Burbank. Gates is responsible for all finance and accounting functions for the consumer products division and its operating companies around the world. She also leads the division’s budgetary and strategic planning reviews and oversees its information technologies function.

* Susan Garelli has been promoted to senior vice president, Human Resources, at Disney Consumer Products, Burbank. Garelli will provide human resources counsel and support to senior management and oversee all human resources functions for the worldwide division, including staffing, diversity, organization development and training, compensation and employee relations.

* S. Michael Rumbin has been appointed global marketing vice president with International Remote Imaging Systems Inc., Chatsworth. Rumbin will be responsible for overseeing worldwide marketing for the company’s Chatsworth operations.

IRIS manufactures automated urinalysis technology.

* Eric Kassan has been named chief technology officer for VolumeFoods Inc., Encino. Kassan will oversee all areas of technology and engineering, including the company’s Internet sales and trading system.

VolumeFoods provides integrated Internet-based sourcing and procurement services for the food services industry.

* Allan Rosenthal has been appointed chief financial officer of Alera Technologies, Van Nuys. Rosenthal will lead the company’s finance and accounting activities.

Alera develops and manufactures optical recording and duplicating solutions.

* Jeff Schoenwald has been appointed chief physicist for Lynx Photonic Networks U.S. operations, based at the Southern California headquarters in Woodland Hills. Schoenwald will focus on integrated optics communications applications.

Lynx develops patented planar waveguide photonic switches and subsystems.

* James Fabian, vice president, systems and branch services, has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president, operations support, with On Assignment Inc., Calabasas. Fabian’s new responsibilities will include account manager recruiting and training.

On Assignment provides temporary professionals to the scientific, health care and environmental industries in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Belgium.

* Guy Starkman has been promoted to president of Jerry’s Famous Deli Inc. Starkman had been vice president and director of the company.

Jerry’s Famous Deli operates a chain of restaurants.

* Kevin C. Farr has been promoted to vice president, residential--Valencia division, of Newhall Land & Farming Co., Valencia. Stephen C. Schmidt, currently senior vice president, residential community development, will be leaving the company upon completion of the sale of Newhall Land’s option on its property in Broomfield, Colo.
