Hundreds Mourn Slain President
From Times Wire Reports
Hundreds of people lined up to see the body of slain Congolese President Laurent Kabila in Kinshasa, the capital, before his burial today. Kabila was shot to death by a bodyguard last week, according to the government.
Meanwhile, rebels and U.N. aid workers said about 200 people have been killed in a new spate of tribal clashes in northeastern Congo. They said the violence was unrelated to the death of Kabila or the 2 1/2-year-old civil war that has roiled the vast African country.
