“What I like are Russian River Pinot Noirs. Here’s my thinking: I’m in my 50s, and the point is, as the wine-drinking populace ages, they’re shying away from full-bodied Cabs. For ease of drinkability, [Pinots] go with lots of foods. With that velvet complexity, they’re pleasant with meals. I’ve switched to lighter-style wines . . . and I see a great future for Pinot Noir.”
