* Margaret Noll; Former Hospital Supervisor

Margaret Noll, a former hospital supervisor and businesswoman, died on Saturday at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. She was 76.

Born to John and Lena Russo on Dec. 6, 1924, in Huntington, Ind., she grew up and attended school there.

Noll met and later married her husband, Ralph Noll, while attending nursing school.

In 1947, she graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Fort Wayne, Ind., and was a delivery room supervisor for many years at St. Joseph and Parkview hospitals, also in Fort Wayne.

She moved with her family to Ventura in 1963 where she was active in St. Anne’s Guild. She also belonged to the Assistance League and the Rubicon Theater Grand Dames and was a Casa Pacifica Angel.

Three years after moving to Ventura, she and her husband opened Noll Electric, which they operated until their retirement in 1988.

Linda Kelly of Ventura, one of Noll’s close friends, said Noll loved to play bridge, entertain and was a wonderful cook.

She said that Noll was a committed volunteer and that she loved Kelly’s grandchildren as her own.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, Noll is survived by a son, Steve of Ventura; a brother, James Russo of Wildwood, Mo.; and a sister, Mary Buchheit of Elwood, Ind. She was preceded in death by her son Thomas in 1968.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today followed by the reciting of the rosary at the Joseph Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura, which handled the arrangements.

A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church in Ventura.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn.
