CENTERING WORKSHOP: A centering prayer introductory workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at Holy Spirit Retreat Center, 4316 Lanai Road, Encino. Centering prayer is based on a form of contemplative prayer in the Christian tradition. The cost is $35 with lunch and $25 without lunch before Monday; afterward $40 with lunch and $30 without lunch.
