Council OKs Placing Bike Racks on Buses
From Times Staff Reports
Simi Valley this week joined other eastern Ventura County cities in making their public transit buses more friendly to bicyclists.
The City Council voted 4 to 0 to equip all 11 city buses with bicycle racks, at a cost of $10,137. The racks should be in place by September. Thousand Oaks and Moorpark already are placing bike racks on city buses. The racks can only hold two bicycles at a time because of state regulations.
