50 Lashed for ‘Obscene’ Dancing During Party

Fifty men and women have been lashed for behaving indecently and dancing obscenely at a birthday party in Tehran, a government newspaper reported.
The daily Iran quoted an unidentified judge as saying that the 50 were found guilty and sentenced to between 30 and 99 lashes each.
Those accused admitted wrongdoing and did not object to the lashing, the paper quoted the judge as saying.
