Boeing Delivers 141 Jets in 2nd Quarter

Boeing Co. said it delivered 141 commercial jets in the second quarter, keeping it on track to meet its target of 530 deliveries for the full year.

The 141 deliveries, led by 73 shipments of its 737 narrow-body jets, pushed Boeing’s first-half total to 263, the Seattle-based company said.

In the second quarter of 2000, Boeing delivered 167 commercial jets and 242 in the first six months on its way to a full-year delivery total of 489 aircraft.

The company did not disclose the dollar value of the deliveries. Based on catalog prices, which are routinely discounted, the deliveries would bring in revenue of $12.1 billion.

Boeing also delivered 22 military jets in the quarter.

Boeing share fell $1.10 to close at $55.23 on the New York Stock Exchange.
