Hold the Ketchup

I was appalled by S. Irene Virbila’s endorsement of eating while reading a library book (critic’s Notebook, July 5). A burger no less!

Library books are only borrowed, and should be treated with care in deference to the next person to read it. If she wants to take the chance of staining her own books, that’s OK, but please take care with mine.
