Sobriety Checkpoint Results in 3 Arrests

Two alleged drunk drivers and a suspected auto thief were arrested and 33 citations were issued for driving violations at a sobriety checkpoint, police said Sunday.
The checkpoint was operated from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday in northbound lanes of Oxnard Boulevard north of 2nd Street, Oxnard Police Officer Ernie Orozco said.
Orozco said 1,460 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, the seventh conducted by Oxnard police this year.
