Honduran, S. Korean Ships Collide Near Tokyo

A South Korean container ship and a Honduran freighter collided off the eastern coast of Japan in foggy weather, an official said.

The Honduran Acarreo 3, carrying 5,000 tons of magnesium ore, ran aground after making contact with the Bonny Star, Coast Guard official Kazuhiro Nishikawa said. He said no one was hurt and no fuel spilled from either vessel after the mishap about 7 miles off Kujukuri in Chiba prefecture, east of Tokyo.
