A Northridge woman accused of leaving her two young children in a locked car in the midday heat will be arraigned Wednesday on two counts of child abuse, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said.

Subha Sara Sadaf, 21, could face up to seven years in prison for allegedly leaving her sons, ages 1 month and 19 months, in her locked car with the windows rolled up while she shopped for groceries on June 27, prosecutors said. The high temperature in Northridge that day was 86 degrees.
