I was glad to see your July 14 article on Norm Pattiz and his efforts to initiate the broadcasting of relevant and accurate information to the people in the Mideast in a form they’ll find interesting and entertaining. It has always baffled me why the U.S. has not more widely utilized its world-class entertainment talents to get across our political message. Given that the Mideast peace initiatives have so far failed, in part because the populations have not been advised of the ramifications of the peace process, initiating AM, FM and satellite broadcasts is long overdue.
